The article explains how the Migrantes Foundation managed (and still manages) to tell, through the direct witnessing of the residents, the experiences of great openness and generosity that took place in Lampedusa during and beyond the emergencies related the arrivals of boats fi lled with migrants on the island shores. The experience had as outcomes the publication of a book and the ongoing experience offered by the Migrantes Foundation website through the section “Lampedusa and Linosa 365 days online”.
