CIVITAVECCHIA AND THERMAL WATERS. GEO-HISTORICAL RESEARCH OF A BROKEN VOCATION 
The work aims to outline, brieß y, the results of the analysis of the rich historical stratiÞ cation of some thermal sites in the surroundings of Civitavecchia (thermal springs called Taurine) from the Etruscan period to the present day, through the study of the available sources, especially historical-cartographical. In the late XIX century sources again aroused the attention of local investors and was built a modern station, which was destroyed by bombing in the Second World War.
