Between Antiquarian and Prosopography: the Capuan signaculum from the Collection of Prince ‘Odone di Savoia’ (CIL X, 8059,114)

It is proposed to identify in the onomastics of the signaculum CIL X, 8059,114 the signature of the consul of 200 ad. Ti. Claudius Severus Proculus (PIR2 C 1028), or more likely of one of his trustees, whose properties in the Apulian and Lucanian areas are ascertained; the hypothesis is put to the test by the chronicle reports of his discovery.
