This paper aims to analyse the presences and the thematic and linguistic influences of Lucretius on the poetry and critical analysis of Giosuè Carducci, focusing in particular on the texts of youth. It is therefore about the edition of an unpublished lesson by ‘professor’ Carducci, set up when, in 1860, he was teacher of Italian and Latin at the ‘Liceo Forteguerri’ in Pistoia.
