After providing some reference points for the exploration of previously unpublished works on classical subjects from the Albini Collection, the first edition of an unpublished work by Giuseppe Albini on a Virgilian theme is presented. This work is preserved in a manuscript of the Collection and bears the title Sunt lacrimae rerum.
