The aim of this article is to analyse Giuseppe Albini’s dramatic production in the light of the unpublished papers kept at the Biblioteca Umanistica “E. Raimondi”: in addition to the three published texts, nine further dramas have emerged that reveal Albini’s constant commitment to composing plays, which cannot therefore be overlooked in order to arrive at a global understanding of his intellectual physiognomy. The contribution examines this production investigating, in particular, its relationship with his parallel research activity. To do so, two poems are analysed, one unpublished (Sepulcrum fulgens, centred on Dante) and one published (Sigismondo e Isotta, on Malatesta subjects).
